The GDS Corp GASMAX QSM-RF quad-channel wireless gas monitor supports up to four local or remote sensors for hazardous toxic or combustible gases or dangerous volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The backup battery operates for up to six months with EC and low-power IR sensors. The unit includes an easy-to-use four-command interface with push-buttons and magnetic switches that can be magnetically activated without opening the enclosure.

The GASMAX QSM-RF continuously monitors the of the surrounding gas level and transmits values once every minute. The reporting rate increases to once every five seconds when the measured gas rises above the Background Gas setpoint. This setpoint is adjustable, per sensor, to account for sites that may have a constant low level of gas always present allowing the GASMAX QSM-RF to maintain a long battery life (when not operating on AC power). When the gas level drops below the set-point, for all sensors, the reporting rate will return to once every minute.

The GASMAX QSM-RF is ideal for monitoring gases in non-hazardous applications such as water / waste water plants, chemical plants, areas subject to oxygen depletion and enclosed or confined spaces.

The GASMAX MX gas monitor is an ideal solution for wireless ambient gas detection applications. The monitor is designed to detect a wide range of toxic gases and volatile organic compounds in potentially hazardous environments. The monitor utilizes two internal non-rechargable 19AH Lithium-Thionyl batteries that provide up to two year operation for electrochemical sensors and up to one year for low power infrared sensors. Both 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz radios are available to support both North America and International installations.

The GASMAX GX supports both local and remote electrochemical, infrared or PID sensors. Due to their power consumption, PID sensors have a much shorter battery life and should be considered for temporary installations only. Several electrochemical sensors, including hydrogen sulfide and ammonia, are available in low, medium and high ranges.

The GASMAX MX features both push-buttons and non-intrusive magnetic switches that allow complete system configuration, regular calibration and product maintenance to be performed in the field without compromising the explosion-proof rating. The display screen always shows the current calibrated level of gas present at the sensor.

The GASMAX MX supports both local and remote electrochemical and low power infrared sensors. Electrochemical sensors can be used for distances of up to 100’ and infrared sensors 40’ from the monitor.

The GASMAX MX is CSA, ATEX and IECEx certified for use in hazardous areas and is ideal for power plants, refineries, tank farms, chemical plants, compressor stations, pipelines and other industrial installations where fixed gas detection is required for user safety and equipment protection.
